Preserving the 2000-year-old arts and crafts

Dong cloth is a traditional handmade textile from one of China’s ethnic minority groups, with a history of more than 2,000 years. The process involves over 30 steps, from planting cotton to hand-dyeing with natural indigo.

To preserve this living heritage, we have incorporated their cloth and pattern into our bags since 2013. In the mountain villages of Dong tribe, we partner with the local Artists’ Association to source Dong cloth, build epicenters, and support over 5,000 Dong families.
