Foreword
When the earth awakens, color comes to life.
The earth is the foundation of civilization and the origin of all color.
BAMPO has long been dedicated to Eastern craftsmanship and natural aesthetics. In collaboration with mineral pigment (Yancai) art at Guangzhou Design District, we present the special exhibition “Earth as Origin, All Being in Hues” — a deep exploration into material, color, and cultural identity.

BAMPO, named after the earth, is rooted in handcrafted creation, carrying the warmth of women in movement. Yancai, made from ground minerals, has retained its brilliance for thousands of years. What they share is a reverence for the earth, a respect for the traces of time, and a contemporary interpretation of Eastern color systems.

The exhibition is structured into three chapters: Tea Hues, Eastern Colors, and Dong Ethnic Heritage Colors, corresponding respectively to synesthesia between scent and color, a modern expression of Eastern chromatic systems, and the material philosophy of a living ethnic tradition.
This is a strategic elevation of brand narrative: the new season is not simply about handbags, but about using the bag as a medium to construct a tangible system of Eastern color aesthetics — something that can be touched, seen, and worn.
Chapter 1: Tea Hues
Tea is the Chinese vessel of time. Every shade of tea is a collaboration between water, fire, leaves, and air.
In this chapter, BAMPO draws inspiration from tea grown in the mountains of Qiandongnan, Guizhou (27°N latitude), translating “tea color” and “tea aroma” into the beauty of leather. It reimagines scent and color through craftsmanship — a reinvention of sensory aesthetics.

Chapter 2: Eastern Colors
In dialogue with mineral pigments, BAMPO develops a new seasonal color system inspired by Yancai.
Drawing from mineral-based hues, BAMPO introduces the “Color of the East” collection, featuring earth brown, stone gray, cinnabar red, moss green, and moon white — establishing a new visual root system for the brand’s product line.

Chapter 3: Dong Ethnic Heritage Colors
The Dong people, a community without a written language, record history in embroidery, dye it into fabric, and sing it into songs.
This is the most narrative-rich chapter of the exhibition. The BAMPO team traveled to Dong villages in Guizhou, collecting indigo-dyed cloth, Dong brocade, and other intangible cultural heritage techniques. Combined with BAMPO’s signature “Dong Hand-Crinkled Texture Leather,” the works express a philosophy where cultural roots and inclusive beauty coexist.

The earth never explains itself — it simply continues to give color.
BAMPO invites you to enter this exhibition:
from earth to hand, from mineral to textile, from ancient communities to contemporary design.
You will discover that all things are colored — and within color, we share a common origin.
