Defined by its open structure and two handles, it was made to carry daily essentials — from groceries to travel needs — and even appeared in early industrial use cases.

As lifestyles became more fluid and diverse, the tote naturally moved into everyday wear, evolving from a purely functional object into something that also reflects style and identity.

Since then, it has been continually reinterpreted to fit different rhythms and ways of living.

Its core has never changed: to respond to how people live.

And today, as life becomes increasingly fragmented and mobile, we ask again:

What should a tote be today?

We spoke with our designer about the inspiration behind our Fulfill Flap Tote and how it stands apart from the most traditional briefcase designs on the market. Compared to standard tote, our Fulfill Flap Tote features a structured thick front flap and a generously sized interior, offering both strong form and practical functionality. It is designed to easily accommodate documents and everyday essentials for work and commuting.

The idea originated from a female professional who wished for a tote bag that felt bold, stylish, and powerful, while still offering ample storage. However, most traditional tote on the market are rigid and masculine in design, making it difficult to find a piece that truly aligns with feminine workplace aesthetics and functionality.

After months of exploration, the designer drew inspiration from the layered, upward-flowing roof eaves of Dong drum towers. By softening the overly rigid lines, she created a fluid, layered silhouette that retains structural integrity. The result is our Fulfill Flap Tote—a ladies work handbag that balances utility with elegance, supporting efficient commuting and organization while expressing a confident, independent, and empowered presence for professional women.

Natural & Lightweight Choice

Compared to traditional bulky tote, this design has been thoughtfully lightened, making it more comfortable for daily high-frequency commuting.

The bag is crafted from vegetable-tanned leather, dyed using a natural plant-based process without chemical additives or heavy metals, making it eco-friendly and safe for the body—even suitable for expectant mothers. Unlike chrome-tanned or chemically dyed leather, this natural tanning preserves the leather’s original texture and character.

With no additional coatings on the surface, vegetable-tanned leather showcases its pure, natural look. It is breathable, absorbs moisture, and “breathes” with use. Over time, the leather develops a unique patina and personal marks, making each bag truly one-of-a-kind.
